The Mission of Putnam School, in cooperation with our community, is to provide a positive environment and excellent instruction that encourages our
children to work at their highest potential.

VISION STATEMENT
We believe that all children are capable of learning and becoming responsible citizens who are lifelong learners. We believe that in order to promote lifelong
learning, we must provide an appropriate curriculum that encourages problem solving, critical thinking and creativity. We believe that partnerships between
the parents, the schools and the community support character development and academic success.

The following data were used to verify the comprehensive needs assessment analysis:

Goals

Goal 1: El Paso ISD will ensure that our community has a successful, culturally responsive school in every neighborhood
that successfully engages and prepares all students for graduation and post-secondary success.

Performance Objective 1: The campus will addressed STAAR goals by ensuring teachers understand the needs of their students as they targeted instruction to strengthen student expectations.

1) To increase academic achievement through tutoring in reading, writing, mathematics and science, addressing the needs of at-risk, LEP, SE, and low social economic students.

2) To provide necessary supplies, books, online resources, consultants and
instructional materials to teach standards based curriculum and prepare students for assessments in Math, English Language Arts, and Science.

3) Utilize campus-funded Science Teacher to maximize and enrich the
academic achievement of at-risk, economically disadvantaged, and other students

4) To provide necessary supplies for Pre-K to maximize instruction.

5) To implement the TAIS to support all students who failed STAAR

6) To provide differentiated evidence-based literacy instruction to all learners in Tier I.

7) To provide science related field trips to students Pre-K-5.

8) To provide practice test materials to help students meet state and federal
academic standards

9) To provide planning time for teachers as they disseminate data and meet in
PLCs

10) To provide funding for registration fees for in-town and reading materials for professional development for kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth grades and fifth grades teachers in order to be able to meet the needs of their students.

1) To provide PLCs meetings in order to train, lesson plan and dissiminate data for core subjects

2) To purchase On-line resources to strengthen understanding of standard-based curriculum and provide monitoring of knowledge and skills.

3) To schedule College Readiness and Career Week

Goal 2: El Paso ISD will ensure that our students, employees and our community are provided with a safe, secure and
vibrant learning environment.
Performance Objective 1: To implement programs that will strengthen student's academic student achievement.

1) To schedule monthly LPAC meeting to identify LEP students and review their progress.

2) To ensure GT testing is timely and accurate, and, that identified students are being served.

3) To monitor the progress of special education students.

4) To schedule DRD classes for students identified as having characteristics of dyslexia.

5) To update computer desktops and laptops throughout the school. To purchase ladybugs, enfocus multimedia projectors, printers, mini ipads, smart boards to optimize instructional lessons, materials, and student participation.

6) To provide assistance to those students under the Mckinney-Vento situations (Homeless).

7) To monitor student attendance and implement attendance plans when appropriate.

8) To review academic performances and social-emotional needs with migrant, homeless, at-risk, and military students.

9) To provide field trip for STUCO officers for purpose of providing social studies, student expectations in the form of, i.e.
training and educational instruction in Civic, Constitutional, and
Leadership skills to address.

Goal 3: El Paso ISD will demonstrate fiscal and ethical responsibility as well as a deep commitment to service orientation in all district operations.
Performance Objective 1: Putnam Elementary will be 100% in compliance with local, state and federal guidelines.

1) To conducted a safety audit in the fall and spring semesters to ensure that the campus is safe and free of obstacles and dangerous areas.

2) To provide safety training to teacher in the fall and spring semester to address safety precautions.

3) To review and audit Weekly Time Sheets and TEAMS system to ensure time worked is accurate.

Goal 4: El Paso ISD will recruit, employ, develop and retain a highly effective and qualified staff that successfully engages
all students for success.

Performance Objective 1: To hire and retain highly qualified teachers and paraprofessionals.

1) To provide funds to hire paraprofessionals to assist teachers with
accelerated instruction for identified students

2) To utilize district funded counselor to enhance the academic and positive behavior through character development of at-risk and economically disadvantaged students

3) To utilize district funded instructional coach in order to maximize the
academic achievement of at-risk and economically disadvantaged students.

4) To maintain 100% highly qualified faculty.
When screening and hiring I ensure that all applicant's recorders indicate all criteria of highly qualified

5) To develop administrative strategies on improving instruction, discipline and other concepts that directly impact the students, teachers and campus.

Goal 5: El Paso ISD will maintain positive and productive partnerships with parents and our community to facilitate the
success of all students
Performance Objective 1: To build capacity for parental involvement to increase student academic performance and participation in school sponsored extra-curricular activities


1) To provide funds for materials and training to help parents work with their children to improve academic achievement.


2) To schedule Coffee with the Principal monthly in order to be able to address
the following: the Campus Improvement Plan, Campus Compact, Campus Parental Engagement Policy, and District Parental Engagement Policy, Dual Language, and opportunities to dialog with parents.


3) To utilize district funds to hire a parent engagement leader to coordinate Title I parent involvement requirements.

Title I
Schoolwide Program Plan
Putnam will implement the Texas Accountability Intervention System to support all students who have not met system safeguard on Reading for SPED sub group. Students not meeting these standard will receive additional interventions during the ELA block. Putnam Elementary will also participate with Region XIX in the Instructional Academy to provide teachers targeted staff development in the core areas. PLC's & staff development for teachers will also be available during 45 & 90 minute PLC's as on Friday afternoons. Common planning times will be provided so that grade levels may collaborate to discuss lesson planning, curriculum implementation, data disaggregation and student progress. The TAIS plan will be discussed with the CIT during the October meeting to determine the activities, programs and interventions that would be required to improve student achievement during this school year.

The ten school wide components were discussed during CIT meetings in order to formulate the CNA. The CNA will be revisited and revised as the CIT continues to meet throughout the school year in order to serve our students.
